Part-time summer role - Customer Service Assistant

Part-time Customer Service Assistant at M3C Sports

Job duration: June to September 2025 [start date subject to availability]

Location: 14 Nottingham Road, Borrowash, Derby, DE72 3FL

Hourly rate: National Minimum Wage

Minimum weekly hours provided: 16 hours/week

Working days/hours can be flexible and tailored to suit you. There’ll also be opportunities to work additional hours on short-term notice.

Working hours: During business hours, Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm.

About us

We’re an independent, specialist sportswear and equipment supplier based in Borrowash, Derbyshire. We have two divisions – Euro Soccer Company (a football teamwear specialist) and M3C Sports (a school and sports team wholesaler).

The role

We’re looking for a team player and someone with a strong work ethic. As a part-time customer service assistant, you’ll have a variety of responsibilities – including serving customers and assisting with deliveries – so strong communication and organisation skills are key.

Having previous customer service experience and a keen interest in sports is advantageous, as many of our customers are volunteers from sports clubs or organisations. You’ll get to know our products, processes and our friendly team.

Due to the seasonal nature of our business, this role will be temporary. We’re flexible with the start date, provided you’re available to work most of the summer.

Responsibilities & duties:

  • Attending to clients visiting our showroom
  • Receiving and processing orders, both in-person and online
  • Assisting customers with sizing up new PE kit/uniform
  • Receiving inbound and preparing outbound deliveries
  • General office administrative responsibilities

This role reports to the Director and senior staff members, and you’ll be trained and supported throughout by our friendly team.

Experience & skills required:

  • Experience in another workplace
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
  • Presentable, polite and professional
